Dear friends,

As you are aware on the 11th of March 2011, an earthquake of magnitude 9.0 and tsunami devastated many towns in the Tohoku region of Japan. Till date more than 27,000 are killed or missing, most of whom are hapless old people and helpless children who could not find higher ground before the Tsunami hits. The disaster was magnified by the leakage of radio-active radiations at one of the atomic power stations.  In spite of  considerable help from foreign governments there is severe shortage of drinking water, food, sanitation, basic medicines and proper protection from bone chilling winter cold (below freezing temperature). Tens of thousands are in relief camps. Many adults are dying because of lack of medication and children are getting lung infection. During this worst post-war crisis in Japanese history you can help. Please make at least a small donation to Japan Earthquake Relief fund at Red Cross or Nippon Foundation or UNICEF. You can show the victims that they are not alone in the battle.
